The main page has a breakdown of flower color and/or leaf characteristics. This site is of Missouri plants and lists everything via their scientific names, so for some plants it may take a little searching if you forget the latin! It doesn't have as much written information but goes out of it's way for detailed shots of stems, leaves, and flowers. • http://flora.huh.harvard.edu/fna/ - Flora of North America - FNA presents for the first time, in one published reference source, information on the names, taxonomic relationships, continent-wide distributions, and morphological characteristics of all plants native and naturalized found in North America north of Mexico. (site yet to be completed) • http://uptreeid.com Trees of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Tree key) • http://www.powesheikskipper.org/ - a new website which deals with the biological diversity of Iowa and its conservation. |
